Catechetical and pastoral work continued in the parishes of the Apollonia and Fier Metropolis during October 2026. Catechism groups held their regular lessons, covering themes that included the parish, the Bread of Life, Creation, and love for one another. Together, these subjects touched on parish life, Creation, and relationships between people.
Two spiritual pilgrimages were organized during the month. The first was made with the parish group of St. George to the Monastery of St. Seraphim and St. Augustine in Trikorfo, Greece. The second took place in the city of Saranda and involved women from the catechism groups in the villages of Pojan and Metaj.
At the Horizont Center, three children’s birthdays were celebrated. These activities formed part of work intended to strengthen spiritual life among children, young people, and adults. The month’s program therefore included regular group lessons, pilgrimage visits, and celebrations for children as part of the wider catechetical and pastoral work in the metropolis.
