During the Saint Paraskeva pilgrimage in Iași, medical volunteers provided first aid to pilgrims. A fixed first-aid point was organized by the Archdiocese of Iași’s Policlinica and Providența Hospital. The medical cabinet was set up in the courtyard of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology.
Doctors from different specialties, nurses and medical students took part in the work. A first-aid point is a designated place for initial medical assistance; during the pilgrimage, this service operated on its grounds. The point recorded 320 consultations that year. Ambulance transport to a hospital was requested for four patients.
These details describe two parts of the service: consultations at the site and arrangements for hospital transport when needed. The team brought together people in several medical roles, while the Archdiocese’s medical institutions organized the fixed point. The cabinet’s location in the faculty courtyard made it a specific on-site part of the pilgrimage’s arrangements. Together, the consultations and transport requests offer a straightforward account of how medical support was organized during the event.
