The second gathering of Orthodox young people from Montreal and the surrounding area took place in Montreal, Quebec. Bishop Andrei of Cleveland participated. The gathering was held with the blessing of Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.

More than 70 young people took part. The gathering focused on the question, “Am I the light of the world?” Participants reflected on how the light of Christ can bear fruit in family life, friendships, and everyday circumstances.

Young people raised questions about suffering, forgiveness, friendship, social media, church services, prayer, and faith at school. These subjects formed part of the conversation at the gathering and address areas that can arise in both daily life and church life.

Each participant received a bilingual copy of the Akathist Hymn of Thanksgiving, “Glory to God for All Things.”
