On Sunday, September 27, 2026, Bishop Andrei of Cleveland visited St. Sofian of Antim Mission in L’Île-Perrot, Quebec, Canada. The visit took place with the blessing of Archbishop Nathaniel.

Bishop Andrei celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy for the mission’s patronal feast. He was assisted at the service by the parish priest, Fr. Nicolae Marinescu, and Fr. Bogdan Petru Ion.

St. Sofian of Antim Mission was founded in 2026 and is among the newest communities of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America. A patronal feast is the feast day connected with the saint after whom a church or mission is named. For this mission, the occasion marked a visit by Bishop Andrei and the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.

The event was held at the mission in L’Île-Perrot, a community in Quebec. Its founding year and patronal celebration place the visit within the early life of one of the episcopate’s newer mission communities.
